Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus OVERVIEW The Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 422 Plus (OE) is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some high performance sizes as well. This model is the original equipment tire of select vehicles. The tire promotes first-rate all weather traction. The combination of the tread pattern and the all season compound enhances the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound does not lose its traction in colder temperatures, while the tire maintains its gripping ability. The ensured road grip boosts the driving security all year. The optimized tread block design’s full depth grooves effectively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. The special tire compound used in the tire’s manufacture manages to decrease its rolling resistance. This is achieved as the compound lowers the tire’s overall weight, which eases the driving pressure off the tire. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The decreased levels of rolling resistance ensure reduced levels of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the vehicle. In this manner, the tire is fuel efficient and environmentally friendly at the same time. The rolling resistance also manages to slow the tread wear rate down significantly. This, along with the optimized tread pattern’s even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking, extend the tread life and the tire usability as the tread wear remains regular and lasts longer. The Ecopia H/L 422 Plus (OE) guarantees excellent controllability. The tread area maintains constant road contact which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. This ensures better control over the vehicle and promotes a safer drive. The steering becomes quick and precise in its responsiveness to the driver’s commands, while the tire’s structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting it. The tread design’s shoulder tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface in all weather. The extra biting edges upgrade the cornering and maneuvering capability, promoting a safer driving experience. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
